About us

The Lodi Cycle Bowl in Northern California has been a significant venue for motorcycle racing since 1953. Originally a borrow pit from highway construction, it became a perfect spot for racing due to its natural sound containment. The Lodi Motorcycle Club, which has held AMA sanction #46 since 1937, bought the land for $2500 and developed it over the years.

The Bowl is known for its ΒΌ mile short track and TT track, attracting many amateur racers who race for fun and trophies. It has also been a training ground for many professional racers, including famous names like Kenny Roberts Sr., Chris Carr, and Doug Chandler. These racers honed their skills at Lodi before achieving national and international success.

The track has a rich history of family involvement, with many father-son and brother-brother teams racing there. The sense of community and tradition is strong, with many racers returning to watch and reminisce about their racing days.

Overall, the Lodi Cycle Bowl has played a crucial role in developing motorcycle racing talent and maintaining the sport's grassroots appeal. It continues to be a beloved venue for both amateur and professional racers.
