Welcome to Lodi Cycle Bowl

We're a family friendly track that has been in continuous operation for over 50 years. We take pride in our facility, and we work hard to make sure a good time is had by all who come here, riders and spectators alike.

New Message Board

We've implemented a new message board that requires users to enter a valid e-mail address and respond to a registration e-mail before they're allowed to post messages. We are hopeful that this will reduce the number of provocative anonymous posts that have dominated the old message board. Please use your real name when signing up or your registration may be denied..

Highpoint Rules Changed

There are two changes to this year's Highpoint rules:

1. Points accumulated in a lower class don't transfer to the new, more advanced class if you're promoted during the year (C to B, B to A).

2. There is no minimum number of races that a competitor needs to attend at Lodi in order to qualify for the Highpoint award.

Little Guys (and Girls) Ride Free at Lodi

We've all seen the effects of the "lead law" ban on sales of new and used mini-cycles on little guys and gals riding and racing. The ban has been temporarily lifted, but as the AMA has been reminding us, that ban is not gone and we all need to stay on top of our legislators to get it removed for good.

In the meantime, to make it a little easier for kids who want to race, the Lodi Motorcycle Club has created a program to provide 12 free race entries for riders in 2010 for the following race classes:

PeeWee (Junior and Senior)
Mini Am
60/65
80/85

Each rider entering in any of these classes will be given a special card that has 12 "punchouts". Each punchout will entitle that rider to a free entry into any of the classes listed above. The rider can use these 12 free rides in any manner he or she desires- 1 class per night or 3 classes per night. When you come to the gate, just ask for your free ride card, we'll write your name on your card and will punch it for each race entry you want for that night.

Also, we're providing packages with this free ride offer to all of the local bike shops. One of the best, Stockton Honda Yamaha, has graciously stepped up with an offer: when they sell a new bike that will race in any of these classes, SHY will pay for the AMA card that the buyer of the bike will need to race.

The next piece of good news is that District 36 (http://www.ama-d36.org/) has very graciously agreed to provide up to 30 free full one year memberships for all new dirt track riders in these 4 classes. When you come to signups with your 12 free ride card and you need a District membership, we'll have a special process for getting you new racers your District card.

And then the good folks with the San Francisco Motorcycle Club (http://sf-mc.org/) stepped up! They have donated $1000 to the LMC LGRF effort. If you aren't covered by the SHY or D-36 free card offers, and you ride in any of the 4 LGRF classes, the SFMC funds will cover both AMA and D-36 cards until those funds are exhausted. SFMC has supported the sport and Youth racers for many years. They are a great bunch of enthusiasts.

So- bring your little guys and their bikes to Lodi this year. It's going to be fun!

What kind of racing do we offer?

We run a mix of 1/4 mile short track and TT during the regular season. Once a year we run the spectacular Stockton Mile at the San Joaquin County Fairgrounds. During the winter we run a series of marathons over a 1.2 mile course. Marathons are 90 minutes long and the track is best described as rough scrambles.

Lodi Motorcycle Club

The LMC is a dedicated group of enthusiasts that run the track. The club consists of motorcycle racing enthusiasts from all walks of life. Members are required to put in a minimum of 120 hours of labor per year (which is good because it's a lot of work putting on races all year).
